SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Birds are a common sight on the Suncoast, but when one is injured, Save Our Seabirds steps in to help.
The organization rescues and rehabilitates sick and injured wild birds. The facility also houses about 100 non-releasable birds on its bird walk.
“Each of these birds that you see here, they’re permanent residents,” said Brian Walton, executive director of Save Our Seabirds. “Either because of their injuries or something about their circumstances causes them to live out the rest of their days in this space.”…
