SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Sarasota City Commission voted to delay paid parking hours on Sundays after several churches opposed extending the hours.
The proposal would have applied to on-street parking and city lots and garages. Some 30 church members attended the commission meeting.
Bob Carter, senior warden at Church of the Redeemer, said he is satisfied the city will push paid parking hours back to 1 p.m. on Sundays, allowing free parking during major worship hours…
