SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Chatham County District Attorney’s Office has seen an increase in gun violence cases involving young people, with firearms appearing more frequently on school campuses and in the hands of teenagers.
The district attorney said the office handles crimes from the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education and has seen a rise in the number of guns found on public school properties within the last year. The Ogeechee Mall shooting is among the most significant cases coming to trial later this year.
