SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Five years ago today, 2 young fathers were killed, and 6 other people were injured when gunfire erupted at Fred Wessels Homes along Avery Street.
Arthur Milton, 19, and Terryl Coleman, 26, died in the June 11, 2021 mass shooting in Savannah. Among the injured was an 18-month-old child. In the last 5 years, no arrests have been made.
The shooting
Savannah Police say multiple people in a car drove by the Fred Wessels Homes around 9 p.m. that night and opened fire. Police recovered 60 shell casings at the scene. Three apartments and six cars were hit with bullets.
Milton died from his injuries that night. Coleman died three days later on June 14.
The shooting stemmed from a conflict between two groups, according to the police chief at the time…
