SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Georgia Department of Transportation said drivers should plan for overnight traffic impacts on I-516 near Ogeechee Road as crews install new traffic technology equipment.
The impacts will be from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly starting on Tuesday, June 30 through Thursday, July 2.
“Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will temporarily close I-516 eastbound at Exit 3 at US 80/SR 25/Ogeechee Rd. as part of the ITS and Connected Vehicle (CV) Implementation Phase 2 Project,” they wrote. “The closures are needed to keep traffic safely separated from construction while crews install a new concrete ITS pole.”…
