HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WSAV) — After being placed in remission from a rare, high-risk cancer, 12-year-old Kendall Brodie is preparing for the trip of a lifetime: a visit to the San Diego Zoo.
Kendall faced challenges that many children her age have never experienced. In December 2022, what began as a routine doctor’s visit for a stomachache turned into a diagnosis of neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer.
