HARDEEVILLE, SC. (WTOC) – The owner of O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln in Hardeeville is offering advice to car buyers navigating higher prices and tighter budgets, saying preparation before stepping onto a lot is the most important step a buyer can take.
O.C. Welch, who started selling cars as a Ford dealer in Darien, Georgia, in August 1985, said monthly car payments that once averaged around $100 have climbed to roughly $500 for the same type of customer today.
