Savannah council approves zoning for 2,450-unit development

Savannah’s westward expansion added another large-scale development to the city’s pipelines last week.

Savannah City Council approved 8-1 annexation and rezoning for a 317-acre planned development along Fort Argyle Road, paving the way for a large-scale, mixed-use development near the burgeoning New Hampstead. The development plans to bring 2,450 new residential units and 24,000 square feet of commercial space at full build out anticipated by 2038.
