CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The parents accused of murder in the death of their nine-month-old child after the child was exposed to fentanyl were indicted by a Chatham County Grand Jury Wednesday.
Heather Laborde, 36, and Michael Rapkin, 41, were arrested May 7. They were indicted on charges of murder in the second degree and cruelty to children in the second degree.
Court documents said the two allegedly caused the death of the child on Nov. 25, 2025, by “negligently exposing said child to controlled substances, including Fentanyl.”…
