HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WTOC) – A Lowcountry hospital experienced a temporary loss of power Saturday morning.
Novant Health Coastal Carolina Medical Center lost power for a short period of time. A spokesperson with Novant Health tells WTOC that “all lifesaving and emergency equipment have battery back-up components, so the facility remained safe and operational.”
Hardeeville Fire says when firefighters arrived and entered the hospital, they could smell smoke, but after searching throughout the hospital, did not see a fire.
Novant Health says power has been restored to the hospital, and they are still accepting patients, and all departments are functioning as usual…
