CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is getting ready to help families in Savannah Friday morning with thousands of pounds of food. The drive-thru giveaway at Memorial Stadium is part of Hunger Action Month, and it’s expected to help about one thousand local households.
A line began to form around the stadium before the event kicked off. Second Harvest expects to help about one thousand Chatham County households with fresh produce, protein and other groceries.
