SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Construction is officially underway on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, launching a multi-year project that will bring lane closures and occasional full bridge closures for drivers traveling between Georgia and South Carolina.
After years of planning and study, crews are now beginning the first major phase of the project: replacing the bridge’s existing cables and completing other structural maintenance.
