POOLER, Ga (WSAV)- City leaders and planners will be the first one’s to tell you… it’s cooler in Pooler.
The growing community just north of Savannah has mushroomed in recent years as an influx of residents seek newer places to live and work.
One of the biggest draws to the area is The Tanger Outlet Mall. The outlets grew last year with an upgraded playground and the addition of Dave and Buster’s.
In 2024, the surrounding area is positioned to grow even more. Last week, the Pooler Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a new site plan for an out parcel at the mall.
The new site would be located at 220 Tanger Outlets Blvd and in all, will offer 13,000sq ft. of new space.
If approved by Pooler City Council, the plan will accommodate eight units. Five will be designated specifically for general retail, and the remaining three can operate as food & beverage or retail. The placement will be near the main entrance, establishing a new opening for the facility.
Pooler will soon be welcoming a new Chick-fil-A in Godley Station, as well as the Galen School of Nursing. The city is also considering the addition of a new Wawa. Council members are scheduled to meet again today.
