But Savannah on Wheels is thinking beyond Valentine’s and Galentine’s this year with its third annual Last Stop Loved Cupid Ride, which benefits Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation & Relocation , lovingly known as GRRR.

“You have a lot of humans in your life, but it seems like animals have a lot of love to give, and they give it,” Savannah On Wheels owner Melissa Austin said. “I think that, in turn, inclines us to respond with love, and I think it changes your outlook.”

Austin experienced this change firsthand when she and her husband, Mike, adopted their dog, Jack, in 2018. Seeing how Jack changed their life, the Austins decided to include pets in the memories they helped people create after purchasing Savannah on Wheels in 2020.

These precious pooches have it made, but not all dogs are quite so lucky—especially as they get up in age.
