SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) —The Savannah community paid their respects with a candlelight vigil and balloon release remembering Sgt. Breonna Moffett Wednesday night.
United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia Day Center hosted this tribute. It was also where Breonna had worked since Nov. 15, 2021. She was on leave because she was deployed.
Speaking with family and friends, they tell us it feels good to know Savannah is continuing to show support during this tough time.
Hugs were shared, candles illuminated the night sky forming the letter ‘B’, and there was laughter as many reminisced remembering Sgt. Moffett.
People were heard saying, “Yeah, [Breonna] definitely was not afraid to speak up.”
Along with other happy memories of the beloved daughter, soldier and friend, “She was that person – if she knows she’s right, she’s right.”
Memories were shared with us as we spoke to close friends and family members of Breonna. Saryha Truell, Breonna’s best friend, tells us it warms her heart to know how Breonna was a guiding light in people’s lives.
