The remains of U.S. Army Reservist Sgt. Breonna Moffett will return to Savannah on Thursday with a motorcade procession through downtown for those who wish to pay respects to the soldier killed in the line of duty.
“As a community, we mourn the loss of one of our bravest members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country,” Mayor Van Johnson said in a press release from the city. “We invite everyone to show their respects to Sgt. Moffett and her family on Thursday as she returns home for the final time.”
The Savannah Police Department will lead the motorcade from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to Campbell and Sons Funeral Home at approximately 11 a.m., according the release.

The motorcade will travel Hwy. 80/West Bay Street and turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It will then turn east on West Gwinnett Street, then turn south on Whitaker Street and west on Park Avenue before turning into Campbell and Sons Funeral Home.
