HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – A Hilton Head, South Carolina, ended up dying in an extended stay hotel after becoming the victim of a romance scam. Donna Kendall and her husband Jerry lived the high life on Hilton Head, until he started showing signs of dementia in 2022. With her son living in Atlanta, Donna became lonely and turned to the Internet to fill that void.
