City council approves plan for new monument honoring seven female preservationists

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Friday afternoon, Savannah City Council officially approved the final phase (Phase 2) of a plan to build a new monument in Columbia Square. The new monument will be dedicated to the seven female preservationists who saved the Isaiah Davenport House. The plan was approved by a unanimous vote at a City Council meeting.
