Food
This program provides meals for those over the age of 55 (or younger, if disabled) to get meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cost for meals depends on individual circumstances, meals may be provided along a sliding fee scale, from no cost to full price.
Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia
Anyone over the age of 55 (or younger, if disabled) can get meals that are nutritious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner delivered to your home for free. Whether you or a loved one has long-term or short-term disabilities, or is recovering from surgery, illness, or accidents, they’ve designed the meals for seniors that caters to you.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, provide any eligible citizen monthly funds to buy groceries. If you are over age 60, your household has a permanent fixed income, such as Social Security Income, and members of your household are not working, you may qualify for Senior SNAP .
