Parker’s Kitchen starts new round-up campaign to combat hunger in Savannah

A major convenience store chain has a new opportunity to give back locally.

Parker’s Kitchen announced via news release Thursday a new round-up campaign starting Friday through Feb. 28. Customers who round-up their purchases through out most of Georgia will be donating to the Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia . The company will match 25% of all donations.

A similar campaign is underway in South Carolina where round-ups will go to the Lowcountry Food Bank in Charleston. One area of exclusion in both campaigns is the Augusta area (including Aiken County) where round-ups will go to the local Golden Harvest Food Bank .

“At Parker’s Kitchen, we want to expand the regional food safety net to help local families and children who are experiencing food insecurity throughout Georgia and South Carolina,” said Parker’s kitchen outreach and communications manager Olivia Parker. “We’re incredibly grateful for the generous support of our customers and look forward to taking a major bite out of hunger through our new round-up campaign.”
