Chatham County Sheriff’s Office hosts Thanksgiving Food Basket Donation Drive

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is doing its part to help local families in need this Thanksgiving.

The agency is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Donation Drive now through Friday, Nov. 22.

CCSO said they aim to provide 20 Thanksgiving food baskets to families who may otherwise go without this holiday season.

The public is encouraged to donate non-perishable food items by dropping them off at the CCSO’s main lobby (1050 Carl Griffin Dr.), including:

  • Mashed potato mix
  • Stuffing mix
  • Corn bread mix
  • Canned vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, etc.)
  • Canned yams
  • Canned milk
  • Macaroni noodles
  • Roll mix
  • Turkey gravy mix
  • Cookie mix
  • Cake mix
  • Canned icing

Any other dry food or canned ingredients are welcome.

“Let’s come together to make a meaningful difference this holiday season!” the sheriff’s office stated.
