STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Ready to take down your tree? Here are some locations ready to take it off of your hands.
Before dropping off a tree, residents are asked to remove all lights, ornaments, wire, hooks, string, tinsel and fake snow for a smooth recycling process.
Some sites will also be taking holiday lights, wrapping paper and cardboard boxes for recycling.
Bulloch County
You can drop off your tree at the City of Statesboro Department of Public Works from Dec. 26, 2024-January 10, 2025. They will be accepting trees Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
You can also drop off your tree at Anderson’s General Store on Jan. 11 from 9 a.m.- 1p.m.
Beaufort County
Beaufort County residents with Convenience Center decals can recycle Christmas trees and other holiday items at any County Convenience Center during normal center hours.
For those without Convenience Center decals, Christmas trees can be brought to the Shanklin Road, Beaufort or Simmonsville Road, Bluffton locations only.
