THUNDERBOLT, Ga. (WTOC) – The shrimp boats are largely gone from Thunderbolt, but the town prepares to celebrate its maritime heritage with the annual Blessing of the Fleet.
The festival on Saturday, Apr. 4 is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature a parade, live music, food, vendors and a blessing from Bishop Stephen Parkes of Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
The day kicks off with a parade along River Dr. at 11 a.m. It will turn at Town Hall and continue toward Cesaroni Park. Everyone is encourage to park at Johnson High School on Sunset Blvd. and take the shuttle to River Dr…
