Thunderbolt honors maritime heritage with annual Blessing of the Fleet

THUNDERBOLT, Ga. (WTOC) – The shrimp boats are largely gone from Thunderbolt, but the town prepares to celebrate its maritime heritage with the annual Blessing of the Fleet.

The festival on Saturday, Apr. 4 is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature a parade, live music, food, vendors and a blessing from Bishop Stephen Parkes of Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
