Spring in Georgia means flowers and trees and birds and bees. And it also means some slithery snakes are crawling back out of their winter dens, eager to share in the warm weather and spring food fest.

For humans, the reappearance of snakes in Georgia causes quite the conundrum. Often both confused and afraid, we upright homo sapiens don’t always look down kindly at the inconspicuous constrictors, venemous vipers, rattling reptiles or the more plentiful and friendly species that control vermin and pests.
