SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -A familiar name in Georgia’s public service circles is heading back to Washington.
Savannah’s own Lori Frazier Bearden has been appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) at the U.S. Department of Labor—an influential role that puts her at the forefront of national job training and workforce development strategy.
The ETA, a lesser-known yet critical arm of the federal labor apparatus, is tasked with everything from managing unemployment insurance programs to ensuring equitable access to workforce training.
