SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Blake Beckworth and Taylor Smith, spent their Saturday night stranded on the 294-mile-long, Ogeechee River after their boat failed to return to River Retreat Boat ramp.
The teens were out with a group of friends when their boat got separated from the others. Beckworth and Smith, lagging behind the group, accidentally took a wrong turn, heading in the opposite direction from where they had planned. The two say as night fell and their boat ran out of gas, their situation quickly went from bad to worse.
