SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System says a student left Southwest Elementary School’s campus on their own Wednesday morning.
SCCPSS says just before 11 a.m., a 5th grade student asked permission to use the restroom and left his classroom. They say he then walked out a side door of the school and continued through a gate that had been left open.
They say he was spotted by a citizen as he walked toward the Walmart located near the school. That person called the school and 911 to report the sighting…
