South Carolina Department of Transportation officials said part of Grays Hwy. (U.S. 278) which was damaged last August by Tropical Storm Debby has now reopened.
Tropical Storm Debby ripped through the heart of Jasper County last August, leaving behind a portion of one of its main travel arteries destroyed.
The storm moved through the area Aug. 6, dropping 13.78 inches of rain in Beaufort, 12.45 inches in Hardeeville and 6.59 inches in Ridgeland, leading to massive flooding and road closures…
