SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A Savannah Police officer who was at risk of being fired for a “use of force” offense will now reportedly face a new punishment, a five-day suspension.
WSAV first told you about three officers who were involved in a use of force investigation.
In April, WSAV learned that the Savannah Police Use of Force Board recommended that two of the officers be fired, and one suspended in April. Sergeant Samuel Hunt and Corporal Alan Contreras were recommended to be fired.
Hunt has now been placed on a five-day suspension, not fired and is not relieved of duty as was previously recommended by the Use of Force Board, the City of Savannah told WSAV…
