SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A senior at Savannah Classical Academy High School has been awarded the Empowering Greatness Scholarship from Farah & Farah.
Senior Luz Clarita Gonzalez-Matancillas is the 2025 recipient of the Farah & Farah scholarship. Luz received the scholarship because she demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her community, particularly through her efforts to assist Hispanic families with translation services.
Luz is a bilingual individual who felt the need to help in addressing the language barriers faced by many in her area. She plans to become a surgeon and use her native language to educate and assist others in the medical field…
