CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A judge will soon decide if a man, accused of killing his adoptive parents and child, is competent to stand trial.
Junior Thomas Babcock, 42, is accused of killing 71-year-old Daniel Babcock, 68-year-old Connie Babcock and his 14-year-old son, Junior “LJ” Babcock on the morning of November 22, 2024. The Chatham County Coroner’s Office said each victim was shot at least one time.
Junior Thomas was indicted on 15 charges, including three felony murder charges, in February 2025. Jail records show Junior Thomas has a criminal history dating back to 2005, with arrests for various crimes such as battery, driving under the influence and driving on a suspended or revoked license…
