SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — It’s a typical summer afternoon, the sun is blazing, the sidewalks are sizzling, and the heat is cranked all the way up and many dogs are still being walked in this kind of heat.
But what do they really feel? I stepped into their paws at Renegade Paws Rescue to find out.
“For the dogs here at Renegade, we shifted some of the pack wall times and some of the play groups so that they’re not in the middle of the day,” Garrett Shuler, foster coordinator and kennel technician at Renegade Paws said. “We’ll have walks at 8 or 9 in the morning, and we’ll have playgroups later on in the day at 5:30, 6 o’clock. This gets us out of the window of the day where it’s hottest.”…
