Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspect denied bond

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The fourth suspect arrested in connection to the Oglethorpe Mall shooting appeared in front of a judge Tuesday morning and was denied bond.

Johnathan Jones was arrested July 9 and charged with murder, possession of a firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and two counts of aggravated assault.

Chatham County District Attorney Shalena Cook Jones represented the state and requested bond be denied. Judge Benjamin Karpf agreed, denying Johnathan Jones’ bond ahead of his court date set for July 29.
