JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A man has been charged in a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday in the area of Lowcountry Highway and Tropical way, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
Lamarcus Oneal Mays, 24, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a firearm by a felon, 1st Offense, and failure to stop for a blue light, 1st Offense.
An arrest warrant states that Mays fled from an attempted traffic stop that was initiated by a Ridgeland Police Department officer, and while attempting to flee, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed Mays’s vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Lowcountry Highway…
