Pooler mayor announces 2 new city ordinances

POOLER, Ga. (WSAV) — The city of Pooler passed two new ordinances unanimously on the second reading, Mayor Karen Williams shared Thursday.

The first of the two ordinances updates an existing ordinance to align with the state’s model flood ordinance. Now, new construction will be required to elevate at least four feet above the lowest adjacent grade.

Additionally, the minimum open space requirement for all subdivisions increases to 10%, promoting creation of more green spaces.
