SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Happy Friday! Today is a First Alert Weather Day as many of us will experience heat index values near 110 degrees this afternoon.
Another Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11AM-8PM. It is important to remain hydrated and take breaks from the heat if you have to be outside. Light and loose-fitting clothing is recommended to keep you cool!

It’ll be another above-average afternoon with highs in the mid 90s. A few isolated storms will be possible from this afternoon into the evening. There is a marginal risk for severe weather, with damaging wind gusts being the main severe threat. Heavy rain will be possible into the evening. No need to change your Friday night plans, but it would be a good idea to have an umbrella with you if you plan to be out late…
