Former Food Network star and celebrity chef Paula Deen has abruptly closed her popular Savannah, Georgia, restaurant, The Lady & Sons, after 36 years.Its companion, The Chicken Box, also was closed.A statement published on the restaurant’s Facebook page reads, “My sons and I made the heartfelt decision that Thursday, July 31st, was the last day of service for The Lady & Sons and The Chicken Box. We will now focus our attention on the four Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen locations across the country — in Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach (South Carolina), Nashville, and Branson (Missouri).”
