Incoming SSU student drowns before moving to campus

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — An incoming student at Savannah State University (SSU) died in a drowning accident over the weekend before his scheduled move to campus.

Donometric “Tank” Hambrick Jr., a student in the class of 2029, was scheduled to move into Wright Hall on campus.

SSU posted a tribute for Hambrick Jr. on social media on Friday.
