HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (WSAV) — The Hardeeville Police Department (HPD) has seen a recent uptick in car break-ins. Since Aug. 31, officers have responded to 15 reported incidents. Suspects are targeting not only firearms but also cash and other valuables left inside vehicles.
HPD is launching a new public safety initiative known as the ‘9 PM Routine.’ Reminders will go out nightly at 9:00 p.m. on the HPD’s Facebook page encouraging residents to lock their car doors, remove valuables and secure their homes.
