An unnamed South Carolina deputy was suspended Monday, a day after video footage emerged of him pointing a weapon at children.
An internal investigation was launched by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office into the deputy after the harrowing video emerged on social media. The sheriff will remain suspended as the probe into the matter continues to determine whether or not criminal charges will be pressed. Sheriff P.J. Tanner said his office is still determining what information it plans to reveal to the public, including the deputy’s identity.
