SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Savannah Police Department (SPD) has arrested an individual in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1200 block of Rogers St. on September 20.
On September 20, SPD responded to a call and discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but he succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
Charles Barnes, 54, was taken into custody on Oct. 8 and charged with:
- Murder
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a gun during the commission of a felony
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
