City of Savannah to hold public meetings on future of Civic Center

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The City of Savannah will host two public community meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 28 and Wednesday, Oct. 29 allowing the community to weigh in on the future of the Savannah Civic Center site.

Residents, business owners and community stakeholders are encouraged to provide input and speak with staff during the two open house events. These public meetings are part of an ongoing economic and land use study. Input gathered will help guide the redevelopment of the land around the Civic Center.

  • When: Tuesday, Oct. 28, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Civic Center Ballroom, 301 W. Oglethorpe Ave.
  • Agenda: 5:00 p.m. open house; 6:00 p.m. presentation

  • When: Wednesday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
