SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — City officials, residents and business owners gathered Wednesday to share why they think voters should vote yes for Special Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) eight on their ballot.
SPLOST is a penny sales tax and is estimated to collect $700 million in the next six years if voted on. This money will be split between the cities in Chatham County to solve citizen’s concerns of flooding, traffic, infrastructure and more.
