Arrest made in armed robbery at Savannah bank

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that took place at a Savannah bank on Wednesday.

Eric Jermaine Williams, 37, is booked at the Chatham County Jail for felony armed robbery. The Savannah Police Department (SPD) confirmed to WSAV that Williams is accused of robbing the Bank of America, located at 2153 E Victory Dr.

The robbery happened at 3:44 p.m., according to SPD. Before officers got to the scene, Williams fled and unsuccessfully attempted to steal two vehicles. He was later taken into custody by SPD patrol units…
