Bull sharks can regulate their salt levels using their kidneys and specialized salt-excreting glands near their tails, allowing them to live in both salt and fresh water. These predators have been spotted on the Savannah River as far north as Augusta. Weighing between 200 and 500 pounds and growing up to 12 feet long, these apex predators are hard to miss.
