Hardeeville man sentenced to 25 years for 2024 detention center fire

A Hardeeville man pleaded guilty Oct. 23 to a 2024 fire at the Jasper County Detention Center and received 25 years in prison. Two others also face charges in the incident.

A Hardeeville man was sentenced Oct. 23 to prison for his role in the Jasper County Detention Center fire last September that injured 10 people, the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said.
