SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Some local elementary students could undergo random contraband checks in an effort to find prohibited items for the first time ever in the 2025 school year.
Savannah-Chatham County Public School (SCCPS) high, middle and K-8 school students already participate in random security screenings. This is the first-year elementary students will have to go through these extra screenings.
