SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A man wrongfully accused and put behind bars for over two years for a crime he didn’t commit is now suing the city of Savannah and the officer responsible.
Jerrell Williams was one of three people indicted for a 2015 triple murder on E 36th Street. It took nearly six years to get an indictment in that case.
The investigating detective was Darryl Repress, a man who has since admitted to lying under oath. He has since been fired from the department and pleaded guilty to criminal charges…
