Memorial Health NICU earns top level designation for high-risk moms, babies

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Memorial Health’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) has earned a Level IV designation from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Georgia Department of Public Health, the highest level of care for premature or very sick newborns.

A mom and dad are praising the hospital for the care they received during delivery and in the NICU. Paisley Drury was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and transferred from her local hospital in Wayne County.

“So, I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia,” she said. “I ended up going to the E.R. in Wayne County, where we’re from. So, they decided to send me over here.”…
