SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A Savannah man was sentenced to the statutory maximum for possession of ammunition following a shooting.
The Savannah man, previously found guilty of possession of ammunition following a 2021 shooting, was sentenced on Dec. 3 by U.S. District Court Judge Randal Hall after a conviction at trial on charges of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.
Charlie Sapp, 58, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, plus three years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term. Sapp will also be required to pay $1,500 fine with no parole…
